Mission & Philosophy

A structured and faith-centered approach to modern learning.

Alphonse Gallegos Academy exists to provide families with a more personal, supportive, and flexible educational experience rooted in faith, structure, academic growth, and strong community values.

Our learning co-op model combines accredited academics with a full-day, teacher-guided environment where students receive daily support, accountability, encouragement, and individualized attention throughout the day.

We believe students thrive when they are known well, challenged appropriately, supported consistently, and allowed to grow at a pace that builds confidence instead of frustration. Education should not feel impersonal or one-size-fits-all.

At AGA, faith formation, character development, academic growth, family partnership, and joyful learning are all part of the same mission.

Faith and Formation
Faith is woven into daily life through prayer, compassion, service, responsibility, and moral formation inspired by Catholic tradition.
Teacher-Guided Academics
Students work through accredited curriculum with daily teacher guidance, accountability, encouragement, and individualized support.
Structured Flexibility
AGA combines the consistency of a full-day campus environment with the flexibility and personalization families value in modern learning models.
Whole Child Growth
Academic growth, emotional confidence, leadership, responsibility, creativity, compassion, and character all matter.
Our Story

Built by families looking for something better.

Alphonse Gallegos Academy was created by families and community members who believed there was an opportunity to build a more personal, sustainable, and student-centered educational model for Sacramento families.

Rather than simply recreating a traditional private school structure, AGA was intentionally designed as a faith-based learning co-op that combines strong academics, individualized support, teacher guidance, structure, and meaningful family partnership.

Our goal is to preserve the best parts of faith-based education, including community, moral formation, discipline, service, and academic seriousness, while embracing a more modern and flexible approach to learning that better serves students and families today.

As AGA grows, we hope to build not just a learning environment, but a lasting educational community where students feel supported, challenged, encouraged, and inspired to grow.

Our Namesake
"A life rooted in compassion, humility, service, and faith."
Blessed Alphonse Gallegos devoted his ministry to serving others, especially children, families, and those often overlooked by society. His example of joyful service and compassionate leadership continues to inspire the mission and values of AGA.
Our Campus

A calm, structured, and welcoming place to learn.

Campus Location
Alphonse Gallegos Academy’s Year 1 campus will be located at Village Church in Tahoe Park at 4400 58th St, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Alphonse Gallegos Academy is designed to provide students with a structured, supportive, and community-centered full-day learning environment where students can focus, grow, build meaningful relationships, and feel genuinely connected to the people around them.

Our Year 1 campus provides dedicated classroom space for multiple grade groupings, administrative and enrichment areas, designated student restrooms, gathering spaces, a lunch room connected to the kitchen, a basketball gym for PE and student activities, outdoor activity areas, and a large parking lot designed to support safe and organized daily operations.

Located within the Tahoe Park neighborhood, the campus offers students and families a calm and welcoming environment while providing AGA with its own dedicated educational wing and full operational independence as an academy. The layout supports both structured academic learning and a strong sense of community throughout the school day.

In addition to our Year 1 footprint, the campus also provides flexibility for future growth, including additional classroom expansion opportunities and potential preschool space should future enrollment support it.

We believe learning environments matter. Students thrive when spaces feel safe, organized, welcoming, and purpose driven. Our goal is to create a campus atmosphere where families feel comfortable, students feel excited to learn each day, and the entire community feels supported from the moment they arrive on campus.
