Alphonse Gallegos Academy is an independent K-8 faith-based academy inspired by Roman Catholic tradition. Every academic day begins with religion and faith formation, and on Fridays students attend Mass at a nearby parish before returning to campus for the academic day. AGA combines a fully accredited independent-study core curriculum, daily teacher guidance, faith formation, and a structured full-day campus environment. AGA is not an online or computer-based academy. Students use technology during a focused three-hour core academic block, where teachers provide instruction, small-group support, individualized guidance, and accountability. Once core academics are complete, computers are put away and students move into electives, enrichment, PE, Christian service projects, and community activities. Because most academic work is completed during the academic day, families can enjoy less homework pressure and more time together at home.

Technology Is Limited to Core Academics

Faith is part of the rhythm of every academic day at AGA. Students begin each day with religion and faith formation, and Fridays begin with Mass at a nearby parish before students return to campus. Mr. Christian Lopez also supports students preparing for Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, working with families and parishes as appropriate.

How It Works

A structured full-day environment with the flexibility students and families need.

AGA combines accredited independent-study academics with a full-day, teacher-guided learning environment. Parents are not expected to guide their child through the independent study curriculum during the day. Students complete structured academic work on campus through a focused three-hour core block with active teacher support. Technology is used during that academic block, then computers are put away as students move into the rest of the academic day. Completing most academic work on campus helps reduce homework pressure and protect more time for family life at home.
