Opening Fall 2026 — Sacramento, CA

A full-day
faith-based learning
environment

built to challenge
our students.

Alphonse Gallegos Academy is an independent faith-based learning center combining accredited academics, daily teacher guidance, faith formation, and a structured full-day campus environment. Year One uses Horizon for core curriculum and online grading/submission, while AGA provides on-campus supervision, small-group support, enrichment, electives, faith formation, and student accountability throughout the day. Parents are not expected to guide their child through the independent study curriculum during the day. AGA teachers and support staff will provide the daily structure, guidance, and accountability on campus. Students will work through supervised academic blocks so families can enjoy more home-life balance and less homework pressure at night.

Why Families Choose AGA

A more personal, flexible, and supportive way to learn

01

Faith & Character

Faith is part of the rhythm of daily life at AGA through prayer, service, virtue, compassion, and meaningful relationships. We believe education should form both the mind and the heart.

02

Individualized Academics

Every student learns differently. Our Year One learning model allows students to work at a pace that supports growth and confidence while still receiving daily structure, teacher support, supervised academic blocks, and accountability during the day.

How Learning Works
03

Strong Community

AGA was built by families seeking a more connected and supportive educational experience where students are known, encouraged, and challenged to grow.

Our Community
How It Works

A structured full-day environment with the flexibility students and families need.

AGA combines accredited independent-study curriculum with a full-day, teacher-guided learning environment. Parents are not expected to guide their child through the independent study curriculum during the day. Students complete structured academic work on campus through supervised core blocks, helping reduce homework pressure and protect more time for family life at home.

Teachers Guide Core Academic Blocks

Teachers actively support students during the day by helping with lessons, answering questions, keeping students on pace, and providing individualized guidance. Parents are partners, but they are not expected to lead the daily core academic blocks.

Limited Homework, More Home-Life Balance

Because students complete most academic work during structured, supervised campus blocks, families should experience less homework pressure at night and more time for rest, family, activities, and home life.

Why Families Are Choosing AGA
Launching Fall 2026

AGA is building a new kind of faith-based learning community in Sacramento.

Following the closure of a beloved local school community, families came together with a shared vision: create a learning environment that preserves strong academics, faith formation, structure, and community while embracing a more flexible and individualized approach to education.

AGA is launching as an independent faith-based learning community serving students in a full-day campus environment. Students benefit from accredited academics, daily teacher support, supervised core learning blocks, enrichment opportunities, and a calm, focused atmosphere designed to help every child thrive while reducing the homework burden on families.
