Ms. Peletta is known for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to students, leaving a lasting impact on the families she serves.

Like our school, Ms. Peletta believes education should not be confined to the classroom. In ninth grade, she left traditional schooling to help provide for her family, an experience that taught her one of the most important lessons of her career: education must adapt to students by meeting them where they are in life.

She went on to earn her Associate of Arts degree from Sacramento City College and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Mills College, where she graduated summa cum laude. Before returning to Sacramento in 2016 to help train educators and develop curriculum at the nonprofit 916 Ink, she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Creative and Critical Writing, with an emphasis in teaching, from the University of California, San Diego.

Ms. Peletta brings extensive experience as both an educator and curriculum developer. She taught at Sacramento City Unified School District, working with preschool and kindergarten students while specializing in social-emotional learning and foundational reading skills. She later served as an instructor at Sacramento City College, UC Davis, and UC San Diego, teaching English, Essay Writing, Academic Success, Poetry, and Literary Publications. In 2017, she joined Christian Brothers High School before moving to St. Patrick Academy in 2020, where she served as Curriculum Director, English Language Arts Teacher, and Vice Principal of the Junior High.

At St. Patrick Academy, Ms. Peletta became known for her student-first philosophy, where learning happens at the student's pace and technology serves as a tool—not the destination. Whether bringing Shakespeare to life through classroom performances and stage productions or taking students to the California Museum to deepen their understanding of Japanese American incarceration in Sacramento during World War II, she believes the most meaningful learning happens when students experience their education firsthand.

At Alphonse Gallegos Academy, Ms. Peletta is committed to providing an education that not only meets California's academic standards but also goes beyond traditional models that keep students confined to desks and screens. She believes learning should be interactive, disciplined, rigorous, supportive, and—most importantly—a joyful exploration that empowers every student to discover and confidently use their unique voice.

Christian Lopez joined St. Patrick Academy in 2023, beginning in the before- and after-school program before quickly taking on additional responsibilities as a TK–8 teacher's aide. The following school year, he became the Middle School Theology teacher while continuing to support students across campus in a variety of instructional roles.

In addition to teaching theology, Christian has experience as a substitute teacher for every grade level, TK–8, and has provided individualized academic support to students across multiple subject areas. Beyond the classroom, he has served in middle school faith formation, led Confirmation preparation, organized student retreats, and helped guide students in their spiritual growth.

Christian is known for the strong relationships he builds with students and families, his servant leadership, and his willingness to step in wherever he is needed. His passion for mentoring young people and fostering a positive, faith-filled learning environment makes him an invaluable member of Alphonse Gallegos Academy's founding faculty.
